On 14–15 March 2026, the ART.CY International Art Conference & Exhibition took place at the Amara Hotel in Limassol. The two-day event brought together artists, galleries and visitors from Cyprus and abroad, combining a public exhibition with talks and masterclasses.
My booth at ART.Cy
At my booth, I presented a selection of mixed media paintings in different sizes and colour ranges — from textured coastal compositions in blue and turquoise to expressive works in pink, magenta and warm orange tones.
The contrast between calm, open surfaces and more dynamic, heavily structured areas was visible across the booth.
Several of the works were built up with acrylic and structural paste, featuring fractured surfaces, fine reliefs and layered colour fields. Two of the larger coastal paintings were displayed alongside smaller, more intense works — creating a visual dialogue that reflects an important aspect of my practice.
A well-attended event
The exhibition was well organised and busy on both days. The Mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, attended the exhibition and took the time to walk through it, speaking with each artist individually.
According to the organisers, around 3,500 visitors attended the event over the weekend. There was also active interest in the works on display, with approximately 40 artworks sold, alongside further sales developing after the event.
For me, it was a valuable opportunity to present my work in a professional setting, connect with other artists and meet visitors genuinely interested in contemporary art.
ART.Cy is scheduled to take place again next year.
